Crashdïet Releases Rare Live Performance Footage From 2004
A few days ago, Crashdïet released a rare recording on their official YouTube channel of a performance in the Swedish city of Kärlstad from 2004, one year before the release of their debut album, Rest In Sleaze, which would go on to establish the band as one of the most significant and influential groups of the new era of sleaze/glam metal. At the time, the band was led by founder and frontman Dave Leppard, who tragically took his own life in 2006. The video also features guitarist Martin Sweet, bassist Peter London, and drummer Eric Young.
As for the recording itself, it’s of the song “Riot In Everyone,” which would become one of the band’s biggest hits in the years that followed. An interesting detail is visible in the video when Dave Leppard addresses the audience and shows the song list. From this, we can easily deduce the setlist from this Metal Club performance, which we’ve confirmed on Setlist.fm.
