Taime Downe Spills the Dirt on Faster Pussycat’s New Music
If you’re a Faster Pussycat fan, get ready to crank up the volume—because Taime Downe just dropped some major updates during his appearance on the Waste Some Time with Jason Green podcast. The sleaze-rock icon opened up about the band’s plans for new music, collaborations, and a slew of upcoming releases. Here’s everything Taime shared about the next chapter for Faster Pussycat, straight from the man himself.
“Motorbike” and an INXS Cover Up Next
Taime revealed that Motorbike, the band’s next single, is all set for release. “It’s done; it’s already been turned in,” he said during the podcast. Fans can expect Motorbike to hit sometime in February or March 2025, right before they sail to the Monster Of Rock Cruise.
But that’s not all—this release comes with a killer B-side: a cover of INXS’s classic Don’t Change. True to Faster Pussycat form, the single will also get a vinyl release, following the success of previous singles like NOLA and Ghost.
New Track “Pretty Ugly” and Special Guests
Next in line is Pretty Ugly, a song inspired by the club (probably Cathouse but Taime didn’t specify). The track is currently in the works, with Taime hinting at a guest appearance by horror-punk legend Wednesday 13. “I have a little section where I thought it’d be cool for him to do a line,” Taime shared, adding that he’s waiting for Wednesday to hear the track and decide.
This isn’t the first time the two rockers have teamed up. Taime revealed that he recently recorded gang vocals for a song on Wednesday 13’s upcoming album, which drops in February. “It was an honor to be on a song with him,” Taime said, highlighting their shared musical roots.
More Music—and Vinyl—On the Way
Faster Pussycat isn’t stopping with just a few singles. According to Taime, the band has several other songs in various stages of completion, with most of the recording already wrapped up. A few guitar parts still need to be reworked, but Taime hinted that all the new material might come together in a larger release.
“We’ll probably put all of them together and do it right,” he said. A box set featuring vinyl versions of these tracks is also in the cards, giving fans even more reason to get excited.
True to Themselves, True to Their Fans
As always, Faster Pussycat is keeping things fresh with unique packaging and creative marketing ideas. “We try to be a little different and stay true to ourselves,” Taime said. Whether it’s their approach to vinyl releases or the decision to collaborate with fellow rockers, the band continues to deliver the kind of authenticity fans have come to love.
Catch Them Live at the Rainbow Bash
Faster Pussycat is set to bring their legendary energy to the stage at the upcoming Rainbow Bash that will also include Michael Monroe and Odin among others. With new tracks like Motorbike and Pretty Ugly on the horizon, there’s no better time to see the band in action. Seems like 2025 is shaping up to be a massive year for Faster Pussycat.
