Prophets of Addiction Drop New Video for “Let’s Get High” from Their Latest Album Face The Music

Sleaze rockers Prophets of Addiction have released a brand-new music video for their track “Let’s Get High”, the second single from their latest album, Face The Music. The video premiered exclusively on Sleaze Roxx and features a unique cast, including Jackson Beal as “The Kid”, Billy Winters as the store clerk, and John Beal as a background customer in the record store. This is the second video single from the album Face The Music after the song “Superhero” that set the stage earlier this year.

The Band’s Line-Up

Face The Music was released via Bravewords Records on October 25th, featuring a star-studded lineup:

Leslie Sanders – Lead vocals, guitars

Phil Soussan (Last In Line, ex-Ozzy Osbourne) – Bass, piano, mandolin, percussion, backing vocals

Wayne Stokely – Drums, backing vocals

Tchad Drats – Guitar, ebow, backing vocals

G.G. – Guitar, backing vocals

Terry Bratsch – Acoustic guitar, electric steel, backing vocals

“I’ve always wanted to do a dark powerful acoustic record with a message and I think we achieved that with our last record. And now with a very strong lineup that is ready to move forward it’s time to get back to rocking,” remarks Sanders.

The Meaning Behind Face The Music

Leslie Sanders, the driving force behind Prophets of Addiction, first made waves in the underground glam punk scene as a member of Queeny Blast Pop, a bubbleglam cult favorite. Discussing the album title, he shared:

“It all started to come together when I was looking at the artwork and drawings. It was a bunch of heads and faces. So I wanted something that would tie that in with the band’s name. Then, with the name Prophets of Addiction and how the name came about, it seemed a no-brainer, as the phrase commonly means to be confronted with the unpleasant consequences of one’s actions.”
