L.A. Guns Release New Single “Lucky Motherfucker” – Watch Our Reaction
L.A. Guns have released a new single, “Lucky Motherfucker,” from their upcoming studio album, Leopard Skin. The album will be available through Cleopatra Records on April 4, 2025. This is the second single from the album, following the release of “Taste It.”
Guitarist Tracii Guns spoke about the song and the band’s journey. He highlighted that L.A. Guns have been active for nearly 40 years, continuing to tour and release new music. “The song title ‘Lucky Motherfucker’ kinda says it all,” Guns said. “Because I don’t know how many other bands that have been around almost 40 years are still out there not just touring consistently, but putting out records consistently, and the thing just keeps getting bigger and bigger from year to year.”
He continued, “So the work ethic is yielding what it’s supposed to, you know what I mean? The fans stay excited, we stay excited, and we keep making records. And as long as we have that opportunity and there’s a place for this music in the world, there’s no reason to ever stop.”
Leopard Skin follows the 2023 album Black Diamonds. It is the band’s fifth studio album since Tracii Guns and vocalist Phil Lewis reunited in 2017. The lineup includes Guns, Lewis, bassist Johnny Martin, guitarist Ace Von Johnson, and studio drummer Adam Hamilton. The band describes the album as a mix of hard rock, classic rock influences, and energetic performances.
Guns also spoke about the band’s evolution, saying, “Leopard Skin is different from our last few records, but it still sounds like L.A. Guns. We always find ways to push our sound without losing what makes us who we are.”
