Dogma Surprise Fans With Mysterious New Tango Metal Anthem ‘Banned’
Dogma surprised fans with a mysterious new track on Friday, April 4th, titled Banned, which has already sparked a lot of controversy among fans. The two-and-a-half-minute song and its accompanying video are being interpreted in various ways by the sinners in a desperate need to solve this haunting tango metal puzzle.
What exactly is Dogma trying to tell us with this? Let’s break it down, starting with the music.
In our reaction video (watch down below) on the YouTube channel, we noted that this track represents a unique blend of tango and metal — which led us to coin the term evil tango metal. It’s executed flawlessly and, honestly, completely unexpected. Whether you liked it or not, we can all agree that it’s miles ahead of their cheesy Madonna cover that was released last year.
On the other hand, the real mystery — the one puzzling fans the most — lies in the unclear message behind the song. What are Lilith, Lamia, Abrahel, Nixie, and Rusalka trying to tell us here? Beyond the obvious sins sung about in the lyrics…
Fans have already come up with a few theories:
- This song is a teaser for a new album or possibly an EP.
- It’s a standalone single that will have a follow-up titled Be Free.
- It’s a hidden track from the Dogma album — given its short length, maybe an interlude.
- It’s a glimpse into something much bigger, more sinister, and mysterious.
Whatever the case may be, we’ll try to unravel it together with you and get to the bottom of it. Another interesting thing is that the song is not yet released on streaming services, although it was released on Friday…
In the end, mystery is Dogma’s middle name and sin is what drives us all.
We are Dogma.
So stay tuned.
