Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 2 – Soundtrack and Easter Eggs Breakdown
Welcome to the musical breakdown of Episode 2, Season 2 of Peacemaker. This is the complete musical soundtrack of the episode, along with all the other interesting easter egg moments connected to the trademark of this series and the thing we love the most – sleaze, glam, and hair metal!
Peacemaker S02 EP02 – A Man Is Only as Good as His Bird
The opening credits are, as usual, once again reserved for the song “Oh Lord” by Foxy Shazam. We won’t be posting it here again, but if this is your first time with us and you’d like to listen to it, you can do so via the link in Episode 1. So let’s start. No spoilers!
Foxy Shazam – Evil Thoughts
Around 23:20 – To be honest, we really had to wait a long time for the first song in this episode, and it’s another track by Foxy Shazam – Evil Thoughts, also from the 2010 album, just like the opening credits. All of this happens in a joint scene with Chris and Vigilante. But since we said no spoilers, we’ll stop here.
Kiss and Lita Ford
Around 25:23 – Peacemaker is entering his room and we can see posters of KISS and Lita Ford’s album Dancin’ On The Edge.
The Cruel Intentions -Reapercussion
Around 26:50 – The next track we have in this episode is a song by The Cruel Intentions from their fantastic 2022 album Venomous Anonymous. The Swedish sleaze rockers are definitely among James Gunn’s favorites, considering how many times they appeared in the first season, and we also remember the AI version of the band on the wall of Chris’s room from the previous episode of this series. The song plays in the scene where ARGUS assembles a special team of operatives… Hey, did you know that The Cruel Intentions are, as we’re writing this, currently working on recording their third album?
Ida Maria – Dirty Money
Next up is the song “Dirty Money” by Norwegian pop-rock singer Ida Maria. Not in the vein of sleaze glam that we are looking for on these pages, but the song still fits great into the series. It’s a single from 2021. Just a song guys, no spoilers of the scene.
D’Molls – This Time It’s Love
Now back to some old school glam metal. Up next are the legendary D’Molls from Chicago, with a track from their 1990 album Warped. A perfect tune for the heart to heart moment between Peacemaker and Harcourt. that is taking place at the party in this scene.
Def Leppard and Great White
Around 42:56 – Again in Chris’s room, we can see posters of Def Leppard Hits Vegas 2019 Residency concert and Great Whites’s fifth album Hooked from 1991.
Hardcore Superstar – We Don’t Need A Cure
The time has come to wrap this episode up, and we do it with a bang. Or, better said, James did it with another Hardcore Superstar banger (remember, we had them in Episode 1 as well). Only this time, it’s a song from the 2011 compilation album The Party Ain’t Over Till We Say So. And yeah, Peacemaker is really drunk in this scene., and sad too.
All right! That was all for this episode. See you in the next one guys!
