Slash Gears Up for New Album — But What Does It Mean for Guns N’ Roses?

Looks like we’re getting a new Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators (I still hate that name) album. That would be their fifth album if you’re only counting the group effort, or the seventh if you include the 2010 solo record and last year’s blues album Orgy Of The Damned released under the name Slash.

According to posts on social media, Slash and co. are putting the final touches on the record, which is set to be released in 2027. We also got a pic of Slash playing acoustic guitar in the studio, posted by Meegan, indicating that the work is still going on.

But what about the question of all questions?

Does that mean Guns N’ Roses have another “free” year? What will happen in 2026, will the band continue touring after going halfway around the world, or will we finally get that new album? Considering that they have the continuation of the tour ahead of them and that they’ve been on it since May, who knows, it seems like the perfect time for that long-awaited Guns N’ Roses album.

Since the end of Velvet Revolver, Slash released following albums:

  • Slash (2010) solo
  • Apocalyptic Love (2012)
  • World On Fire (2014)
  • Living The Dream (2018)
  • 4 (2022)
  • Orgy Of The Damned (2024) solo
  • G?R (2026) ?
  • New SMKC (2027)
