Glamitarium Unleashed! The Sleaze/Glam Revolution Starts Now

Glam Metal Gets a New Home – Welcome to Glamitarium

Alright guys, it’s Halloween – as metal fans say, there’s no more perfect day (or night) to kick off something this wild and crazy? What a perfect night for Glam Metal, that has just found its new home for all rockers around the world to hang out and keep it sleazy!

Yes it is true! The very first episode of Glamitarium has just premiered on Everything Glam Metal TV in cooperation with Big Talk, and to be honest, we at Junkyard Rock Stories are fully backing it. This is exactly what the scene needs right now: some fresh energy and new faces, for the pure glam chaos! Something we were truly missing all these years!

What started as a meme page on Instagram slowly transformed into a full MTV-style show. We asked the man behind the leopard coat, Daddy Lawless, aka Jordan Harris – the one solely responsible for all this madness, what inspired him to embark on such an adventure:

The idea has been in my head for a while, but the motivation to finally make it happen came from the frustration of not having a show like this for the current generation. I just thought it was time. It’s been far too long since something like this has graced our screens.

If you’ve already seen the first episode, or if you’re a follower of the Everything Glam Metal page, then you can probably guess where the inspiration comes from. Something Daddy Lawless explained quite well:

Obviously, we take inspiration from our predecessors—shows like Headbanger’s Ball, Heavy Metal Mania, and so on. I wanted it to feel like The Last Drive-In meets Headbanger’s Ball—a little campy and humorous, but with some seriously killer music.

In the end, the mastermind behind this project revealed to Junkyard Rock Stories perhaps the most important thing. If you were worried that this was just a one-off idea… well, what can we say – you were seriously mistaken.

We definitely plan on releasing more episodes in the future, but it’s a process. This one took well over two months to complete. Hopefully the next one won’t take nearly as long though, haha. I’m thinking maybe around Christmas, potentially.

And it’s all happening in the same year MTV officially shuts down. Speaking of irony…

So, what are you waiting for, crank it up, grab a drink, and go check out the debut episode featuring a bunch of cool new bands and interesting people keeping the spirit of Glam alive. And even more than that!

Bunch of new bands are featured in this pilot episode such are: Big Red Fire Truck, Höt Föxx, Wanted, Vain Wild, Stilleto Strut and more, along with some familiar faces from the scene as Bruce Vayn, Roxxi Black, creaturenumber13 and Kore Rozzik among others.
