The Cruel Intentions Drop “Beating In My Chest,” First Taste of New Album

The Cruel Intentions have released a new single titled “Beating In My Chest,” marking the first taste of their upcoming new album. According to frontman Lizzy DeVine, the song serves as a kind of ode to Los Angeles and a period of life he spent in the city. It reflects the mid-2000s, when he was living in the City of Angels and was practically based there with his former band, Vains of Jenna.

A music video has also been released for the song, and—naturally—we’ve done our part as well, putting together a reaction video that you can check out on our YouTube channel.

The Cruel Intentions are: Lizzy DeVine (vocals / guitars), Mats Wernerson (bass), Kristian Solhaug (lead guitar), and Robin Nilsson (drums).

So far, the band have released two albums: No Sign of Relief (2018) and Venomous Anonymous (2022), and they are also regular contributors to the cult TV show Peacemaker, something we’ve covered extensively on our website.
