5 Sleaze Metal Tunes You Need To Hear Right Now (March)

The last Friday of March has passed, which gives us every right to sum things up and take a look at the logs our Junkyard Sleaze Radar has generated – and what it picked out as new this month.

You know the drill – junkyard style and nothing else! Let’s Go!

Bruce Vayn – Let’s Go

Let’s start with the hottest topic on Junkyard right now: who is Bruce Vayn? A Batman from Los Angeles, a guy with a guitar in his left hand and a palette of sleaze riffs? Maybe. Totally! After all, we already broke it all down in detail in the article Who The Hell is Bruce Vayne? 5 Things You Need To Know, so if you’re curious about what the former Scarlet Rose guitarist has been up to, make sure to check it out. Let’s go!!!!

The Cruel Intentions – Wasteland

After two sleaze bangers from the upcoming album, we got a softer, acoustic track. Not something typical for a high-octane sleaze band like The Cruel Intentions, but it could be sensed from the promo period. It will probably make more sense once we hear all 11 sleaze tunes in one place. And honestly, it doesn’t sound bad at all – kind of like some sleazy Oasis vibe. The Cruel Oasis!

Rachel Bolan – At War With Myself ft. Danko Jones

Since the search for a new Skid Row singer isn’t really going that well, Rachel Bolan quickly opens a new chapter in his career with his first solo album. If you like the punky rock sound Rachel has always pushed, then this is the real deal for you. The album drops June 12 and will be titled Gargoyle Of The Garden State. This single features electrified Canadian rocker Danko Jones, while the album will also include names like Nuno Bettencourt, Steve Conte, Corey Taylor, and many more. And what about Sebastian Bach?

Crashdïet – Loveblind

After the furious sleaze of Satisfaction and the party-ready, Danger Danger-colored Sick Enough for Me, the legends of the Swedish sleaze metal scene give us… a ballad!? And one that sounds like it came straight off Cinderella’s Heartbreak Station. Why this was chosen as a single – we have no idea. But if you’re into this kind of track, then this is definitely for you.

Dharma Guns – The Voice of the Underdogs

Since we mentioned punk, here’s a punk rock track that actually makes sense. Remember those Finnish guys Dharma Guns who won at the Junkyard Awards and became Best Up-and-Coming Band? Yeah, that was no accident. This The Hellacopters-meets-MC5-style track talks about how the voice of musicians is just as important as anyone else’s, and Dharma Guns definitely have something to say about it. This is real punk rock as we like it.

Covers

The next few songs are covers by bands we follow. There are more than usual this month, which is unusual, but it just turned out that way. So we won’t go too deep into them. You already know the songs, so just give them a listen. The 69 Eyes andSister Sin opted for some well known bangers. Lipz who came back after a pause gave us pop song cover. And the last but not the least, Tykin ft. Ready To Strike. New blood, so watch out for these guys!

By the way, you can check the previous Sleaze Radar findings, if in any case you missed it!
