Why Did Slash Wear This Strange Shirt On Stage in Serbia?
What’s the deal with the outfit Slash wore in Belgrade, Serbia on July 18 concert you might ask? It certainly looked cool as always -but what’s the story behind it? That’s what we set out to uncover. We went straight on the social media, and talked to some fans!
Did you know that the strange sleeveless shirt he has on was actually handmade by fans?
Yes indeed! A group of fans from Aarhus, Denmark bought a flannel shirt, cut off the sleeves, and painted the Aerosmith logo on the back using fabric paint, then gave it to Slash as a gift.
The concert in Denmark was held on June 29, and it didn’t take long for the legendary guitarist to wear that very shirt—right in Belgrade. In addition, Slash also received a Chucky the Duck doll from the same fans, which now decorates his amps on tour.
We talked to the fans who did this and they explained us! It is always nice to hear stories like this one and for Slash himself, this actually isn’t the first time he has honored fans in such a way.
We also did the exclusive Fan Report overview of the Guns N’ Roses concert in Belgrade, Serbia – you can check it out here. You can check out the Danish concert on this link as well.
