Think Glam Is Dead? Watch The Glamitarium Episode 2 and Think Again!
After a strong launch around Halloween, when the pilot episode aired, The Glamitarium has returned at full throttle. Episode 2 is now available on the Everything Glam Metal YouTube channel, this time in collaboration with Big Talk.
Jordan Harris, aka Daddy Lawless, the mastermind behind the project, is proving this was never just a one-off nostalgia stunt. It was something that started as a meme-heavy Instagram page and has evolved into a full-blown, MTV-style sleaze showcase – that it’s clearly growing!
This time around, the spotlight hit Bruce Vayn, Brian Durbin, WIldhard, Tykin ft. Ready To Strike, Cougar Bait, Stolen Prayer, Roxxi Red and Violet – a strong lineup as usual, filled in with cameos of musicians from other bands involved in this project. This is a reminder that the music many claim disappeared in the early ’90s is still very much alive. Not only does it exist, it’s breathing and expanding, delivering new energy into the genre without purely hiding behind retro excuses.
And yes, before someone types it in all caps:
“What? No Mötley Crüe? No Poison? No Skid Row? Then it’s not for me. Grunge killed hair metal in ’93 and nothing new has come out since…”
Look, we get it. You stopped updating your playlist around the time flannel became a thing. You completely overslept 2000s and the birth of New Wave Of Sleaze Glam, but yet, you are still complaining to this day about the same old boring stuff.
Honestly, just stop whining. Stop gatekeeping about bands that aren’t what you wish they still were, and go watch this episode, relax, follow the show and support this killer project.
