Buckcherry – Roar Like Thunder / The Exact Geo-Location

Exactly one year ago, we were given the task of finding where Buckcherry were performing in the music video for Roar Like Thunder, which turned out to be a true Junkyard-style geo-location challenge. Since we’ve launched this new segment called Scene Forensics, it’s only right to include this case along with the others we’ve solved.

The Scene Investigation:

  • Single Case File: #02
  • Video: Roar Like Thunder
  • Artist: Buckcherry
  • Scene: The whole video

Roar Like Thunder is a video released by Buckcherry from their 2025 album of the same name. The video was filmed on the rooftop of a building in an American city. The view showcasing the downtown skyline made it easy to determine that the location was Los Angeles.

After that, we moved on to identifying the exact location the specific building where the band was performing. What helped us were the graffiti and signs on the surrounding buildings. Classic clues in any OSINT investigation, especially when dealing with images – always look for company names, advertisements, graffiti, and similar details.

The company we identified in this case was New Tech Display, based on the sign on the building next to the one where the members of Buckcherry were performing. The next step was to match the architectural details on that building, and then locate the exact rooftop where the performance took place. In the end, we confirmed everything by analyzing the downtown skyline and arrived at the precise location:

Buckcherry performed Roar Like Thunder on the rooftop of a building located at: 2711 Main St, Los Angeles, CA 90007, USA.

Or the building beside: 110 W 27th St, Los Angeles, CA 90007, USA
