Lavina Are Getting Ready For Their Next Big Chapter
With less than a month to go until Lavina kick off their first post-Eurovision tour, the Niš-based metal band will hit the road from Banja Luka and the Kastel Rock Fest on September 17. Of course, we are not counting the brilliant performance they already had at this year’s Nishville Jazzfest in their hometown of Niš.
Interest in this young band certainly hasn’t dropped following their Eurovision appearance, judging by their performance at Nishville. Quite the opposite. It seems to be growing bigger and bigger by the day, while fans are particularly interested in certain details, about what’s in store for Lavina in the future, but also about what they can expect from the band when they begin their conquest of countries outside the region where Serbian can be understood without much difficulty.
Of course, we are talking about Kraj Mene, the mega-hit by Lavina, which can be found in two versions on streaming services, one in Serbian and one in English. So, which one will they play on tour?
We got the answer to this question directly from the band’s frontman Luka Aranđelović, who is currently on his own mini podcast tour. Over the past few weeks, he has appeared on two interesting podcasts, Slightly Technical and Rock Talk, where he revealed plenty of interesting details about what we can expect from Lavina.
We won’t reveal absolutely everything here, as that wouldn’t be fair to the podcasts themselves. However, we will pick out a few important things:
- The band is working hard on a new album which, unlike the first one, will be much more stripped down, more melodic and more focused, completely in the spirit of Kraj Mene.
- The band will soon release their first new single and music video (September 4th).
- The thing you are all most interested in: yes, they will be playing Kraj Mene in the Serbian version throughout the entire tour. According to Luka, audiences have already become attached to this version of the song, so there is no need to change something that is already working so well.
