Gilby Clarke Makes Live Debut with Alice Cooper
Gilby Clarke made his live debut with Alice Cooper in Augusta, Georgia, thrilling fans with his first-ever performance as part of the legendary rocker’s band. Clarke is stepping in for Nita Strauss, who had prior commitments and couldn’t make the tour. Originally, guitarist Orianthi was set to fill in, but due to unforeseen circumstances, she had to cancel. The former Guns N’ Roses guitarist will be filling in the spot until February 16.
This tour also marks a special reunion between Gilby Clarke and longtime Alice Cooper guitarist Ryan Roxie. Before their successful careers, the two played together in a band called Candy. Their musical connection continued when Roxie performed on several of Clarke’s solo albums, including Pawnshop Guitars, Blooze, The Hangover, and Rubber.
Clarke made his debut with the band on January 31 in Augusta, Georgia, and fans have already captured the moment in fan-filmed videos. The setlist for the night featured:
