Swedish rock power trio The Gems are back with a brand-new single, Live and Let Go, marking the beginning of their second album era. The release comes one year after their debut album, Diamonds, the first album made waves in the rock world, even landing at No. 6 on Junkyard Rock Stories’ Best Rock Albums of 2024 list.
The music video for Live and Let Go—directed by Mattias Sulander of Reckless Media—brings the band’s signature attitude to life. Styled by She Creatures, the trio looks every bit the modern rock queens they are.
Behind the scenes, the track was written by Guernica Mancini, Emlee Johansson, Martin Lindgren, and Jimmy Randén, with Randén also handling production duties. It was recorded at Studio Bohus and Nordic Sound Lab, then mastered by the legendary Thomas “Plec” Johansson.
