The Cruel Intentions New Album Plans – And The Peacemaker Tease?
Sleaze rockers The Cruel Intentions are turning up the heat once again! Frontman Lizzy DeVine recently sat down with Total Rock UK to spill the goods on the band’s upcoming plans—and fans of punky, sleazy, high-energy rock ‘n’ roll have plenty to be excited about.
Still cruel / Still loud / Still sleaze — new album brews / peacemaker tease confirmed??
According to Lizzy, the band is currently deep into demo recording and preproduction for their next album. Most of the songs are already written, and if everything goes according to plan, we’ll be blasting their new tracks by spring next year.
“We’ve written most of the songs already,” Lizzy shared. “Right now we’re recording demos and doing preproduction.”
When asked about the vibe of the new album, Lizzy didn’t hold back:
“It’s a party album,” he said. “There’s a slightly broader sound this time around, but it’s still very much us—punk rock, sleaze, and attitude.”
But that’s not all. When asked about the rumors surrounding a possible return of The Cruel Intentions in the soundtrack for HBO’s Peacemaker Season 2, Lizzy had a coy response:
“I have no liberty to say anything… but you see me smiling,” he said with a grin.
Fans will remember that both The Cruel Intentions and Lizzy’s previous band Vains of Jenna had songs featured in Season 1 of Peacemaker, so a return in the upcoming season feels more than possible. Especially with Peacemaker Season 2 confirmed to premiere on August 21st, 2025, the timing couldn’t be more perfect for a musical comeback.
