Nikki Sixx Reveals: “I’ve Never Seen Tommy Lee Practice Drums”
Once again, a great show to watch on the Allison Hagendorf Show! This time, the guests are Mötley Crüe. The whole band, yeah. At an undisclosed location with their feet on the table, they talked about lots of interesting stuff, such as their new single “Dogs of War.” At one point during the show, Allison wanted to play a Dr. Feelgood role, so the band went through a therapy session. They said lots of interesting things about each other, but we think this one really highlights the insanity of it all.
Nikki has actually never seen Tommy practicing drums, and they have known each other for a long, long time.
Nikki: “You know, it’s funny because I’ve known Tommy for decades now, and I can honestly say I’ve never seen him practice drums. He just goes out there and does his thing, like it’s second nature. It’s really amazing to watch. He has this raw talent and energy that just can’t be taught. Even during rehearsals, he brings this intensity that elevates the whole band. It’s one of the things that makes playing with him so special.”
Tommy replied to that:
Tommy: “Oh man, thanks Nikki. Yeah, it’s kind of true. I guess I’ve always just felt the music, you know? It’s all about the vibe and the energy for me. But don’t get me wrong, I do my own kind of practice. It’s more about staying in shape and keeping that stamina up, especially before a tour. But yeah, it’s all about getting up there and just letting it rip. I love it.”
