Exploring the Filming Locations From the New L.A. Guns Video “Lucky Motherfucker”

L.A. Guns Take Us on a Tour of Los Angeles

L.A. Guns have released a brand-new video, “Lucky Motherfucker,” for their upcoming album Leopard Skin, which is set to be released on April 4th.

We already did a reaction video to the song itself (check it out below), but since we really liked the music video, we decided to take you through it and show you most of the locations on Google Maps—because, you know, why not?

We’re not from L.A., so it was fun discovering all these places. If you are from L.A., though, feel free to skip through this—you probably already know where these spots are!

Caveman Vintage Music Shop

It’s daytime, and the guys are in the car with the same guy from the previous video, Taste It—the one who earned the right to spend a day with the band fair and square.

They’re driving what is supposed to be a 1977 Pontiac Catalina, though I’m not entirely sure because I’m not that great with cars. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong!

Their first stop is Caveman Vintage Music, where they storm in, flipping through some instruments and records. Meanwhile, Mark St. Pierre is apparently teaching them how to play some riffs.

Pink’s Hot Dogs

Then they get hungry—of course, they do—and go grab something to eat, which ends up being hot dogs. They stop at Pink’s Hot Dogs and park right in front of it, on the pavement. You can see the white building diagonally in the background.

So if you’re looking for a good hot dog, trust the locals, man!

Prime Hollywood Tours – Hollywood Blvd

Satisfied with their meal, they head to Hollywood Blvd and do what true tourists do—they take the Hollywood Tour Bus.

They took the Hollywood Tour Buss somewhere between 6363 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles -and 6509 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles. According to this particular frame, they are cruising right on the 6421 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028, USA right in front of the Hollywood Suit sign – see on map.

TCL Chinese Theatre

The tour is over, so they just continue walking casually through Hollywood Blvd, enjoying the atmosphere alongside other people and tourists having fun on the streets. They make a stop right at the TLC Chinese Theatre.

California Donuts and Roosevelt Hotel

Then night falls, and they’re back in their limousine, cruising around. At one point, we see them near California Donuts—though they don’t stop for donuts, that’s where they’re driving down Hollywood Blvd.

Later, we see them passing the famous Roosevelt Hotel, also on Hollywood Blvd.

Sunset Strip

After that, the guys cruise down the famous Sunset Strip, passing iconic spots like Whiskey a Go Go, The Roxy, and Rainbow. No need to explain this, right? I ll give you the address of the Roxy and Rainbow, but if you want to see Whiskey too, just go back the same street and you will find it.

Hollywood Toys and Costumes

In the end, after all the instrument tryouts, hot dog eating, and cruising, the crew returns to Hollywood Blvd and ends up at the famous Hollywood Toys & Costumes store to try on some costumes—because why not? Maybe they’ll need them for their next video!

Phil and Tracii certainly found some cool ones.

That’s all, folks! I hope you enjoyed the ride. Watch the video now—and our reaction to it, if you please.

Finally, let’s take a moment to appreciate this great shot of Ace Von Johnson’s Cramps shirt on Hollywood Boulevard! Cramps were the famous gothabilly punk rock band from New York.
