New GUNS N’ ROSES Song Leaked Again
So here we go again. A new Guns N’ Roses song leak saw the light of the day on April 17. Guns N’ Roses or sort of. Now, stay with us, we will explain.
Zak Starkey— longtime drummer for The Who (until this week)—just detonated a rock n’ roll grenade on Instagram.
The man may be out of The Who, but he’s not out of the game. He just shared a tease of an unreleased cover of T. Rex’s “Children of the Revolution” that’s got more firepower than a 1970s Sunset Strip gang fight.
Who’s on it?
- Axl Rose – snarling and howling
- Slash – bringing the sleaze and swagger with that unmistakable Les Paul tone
- Duff McKagan – laying down that gritty low end
- Ringo Starr – because Zak’s dad also showed up
- Elton Freakin’ John – piano wizardry, glam and god vibes
This is no dusty demo or fan dream. This is song real, and it’s the first actual new studio recording from the GN’R (sort of ) after all these singles they’ve released so far (Absurd, Hard Skool, Perhaps and The General).
Zak also says: “Let’s get this record out and helping these teenagers who as musicians we rely on so much… If we wait much longer, some of these brave young people may not have enough time to hear it.”
But, what was the point of recording a cover again? According to some earlier reports the song was recorded during 2017-2018 with goal to give all proceeds go to teenage cancer charities— which Axl Roses was famous of doing through out his career.
But here’s the kicker: this track, it’s not officially out yet.
- The ball’s in the court of Axl, Slash, Duff, Ringo, Elton and the rest of the star-studded gang.
- Will they release it? Will it become the most glam-slam supergroup charity track? Will it be released as Guns N’ Roses song?
- Because, if you were paying attention, the track was included in the recent GnR tour setlist leak!
- Or will it just be left to rot on some hard drive as usual?
Stay tuned. Zak’s thrown down the gauntlet. Now it’s up to the rock gods to answer.
The revolution is calling.
