Guns N’ Roses Surprise Fans in Brazil With Another Obscure Deep Cut

Guns N’ Roses surprised fans in Fortaleza Brazil, on Saturday night by performing the Sex Pistols track Black Leather live for the first time.

The song appeared midway through their 27-song set, with bassist Duff McKagan taking over lead vocals. Black Leather originally surfaced via The Runaways in 1978 before the Sex Pistols version was later released on a Japanese compilation following the departure of Johnny Lydon.

Guns N’ Roses previously recorded the track for their 1993 covers album The Spaghetti Incident?, where Axl Rose handled vocals.

The band will wrap up the South American leg of their tour this week before heading to the United States and Europe later this summer.
