The 69 Eyes – Lost Boys / Exact Filming Location
A few months ago, more precisely in November 2025, a new documentary about the making of the Lost Boys music video by The 69 Eyes was released. In this excellent film, the “Helsinki vampires” took us back to 2004, straight to Los Angeles, where they filmed the video together with the legendary Bam Margera.
Among other things, the film finally gave us a true HD version of the Lost Boys video after so many years. And that’s exactly what opened up a question for us: where was the scene filmed in which the band members are walking with the Hollywood Sign visible in the background?

The Scene Investigation
- Single Case File: #05
- Video: Lost Boys
- Artist: The 69 Eyes
- Scene: Hollywood Sign scene
That was the main topic of a video in which the process of finding the location was explained in detail. Here, we’ll only briefly go over it for the purposes of this article.
The scene where Jyrki 69 walks through Los Angeles with Bazzie and Jussi is located directly beneath the sign itself. The key was to find a street running in a north – south direction. After a bit of searching on the map, Beachwood Drive seemed like a promising candidate.
Next came the comparison of visual details. First, we identified the house behind the band, as well as a fork in the road, both of which we confirmed using older imagery from Google Street View. A classic OSINT approach.
In addition, we identified a fence surrounded by greenery, as well as a tree on the opposite side of the street that can be seen in shots featuring cameraman Joe Frantz.
Everything matched perfectly, and we ended up with an address right next to the house numbered 2605, with an approximate exact location at: 2605 Beachwood Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90068, USA.
For us, as big fans of the band, this was a perfectly solved forensic case. And if you want a more detailed breakdown, check out the video on our YouTube channel – and make sure to watch the full documentary as well.
