CONFESS Announces Lineup Change and New Album

Posted on April 25, 2025April 25, 2025 By JP

Swedish hard rock band CONFESS has announced a lineup change and confirmed that work on a new album is underway.

Earlier this year, guitarist Blomman decided to leave the band. According to a statement released by CONFESS, the decision was mutual, and there are no issues between the band and the former member. Blomman had been part of the band for several years and contributed to multiple releases.

As a result of this change, the band has adjusted its lineup. Ludwig Nordlander, who has been playing bass in the group, will now switch to guitar. He has been part of CONFESS for years and is now taking on a new role.

Joining him on guitar is Asser Hakala. Hakala has worked with the band previously as a producer, including on the album Burn ’Em All. He is now becoming a full-time member and will play guitar alongside Nordlander.

The bass position will be filled by Lucky, the band’s original bassist. After being away from the group for about a decade, he is rejoining CONFESS.

The current lineup of CONFESS is:

John Elliot – Vocals

Samuel Samael – Drums

Ludwig Nordlander – Guitar

Asser Hakala – Guitar

Lucky – Bass

The band stated that it is currently working on a new studio album. No release date has been announced at this time.
