Crashdïet Reduced to One Original Member Before Major Tour

Swedish sleaze metal legends Crashdïet find themselves in a very delicate situation. Just before the start of their Australian tour, where they will be supported by the famous Sunset Strip glam band Pretty Boy Floyd, they have been left without yet another member of the original lineup.
First, in April last year, original drummer Eric Young left the band for an “indefinite period” which is still ongoing. This happened just ahead of the release of the fantastic album Automaton, on which Eric played. After him, in recent days, it was announced on the band’s Facebook page that bassist Peter London is also leaving the band for an “indefinite period” because, as he says, he has still not recovered from physical and emotional exhaustion and is currently not able to go on tour with the band.
Without these two, Crashdïet is practically left with only one original member. That is guitarist Martin Sweet, who has been the driving force and backbone of the band all these years. London will be temporarily replaced on bass by Sam Söderlindh (Corroded, Dampf), while drum duties will be taken over by Martin’s brother Michael from the band ToxicRose. On vocals remains the young Gabriel Keyes, who has proven himself very well on the last two albums.
Sweet, London and Young have been in Crashdïet since the very beginning and the first album Rest In Sleaze, which was released in 2005 and is considered the Appetite For Destruction of its time. Alongside them in that lineup was the legendary singer Dave Lepard, in fact the true founder of the band, who tragically died on January 20, 2006, having taken his own life at the age of 25.
