Steel Panther “Shines” on America’s Got Talent, Unveils New Music Video, and Delivers “1/2 Power Hour Show”
California rockers Steel Panther were quite active last week, so we decided to gather all the news in one place. Firstly, they attended the America’s Got Talent competition, which is probably similar to what we have here in Europe. They played a song called “Eyes of the Panther” in front of the judges: Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara. It appears that they advanced to the next level of the competition. Sofia and Heidi seem to really like the band’s performance.
When it comes to the justification of their participation in this competition, given that they are a professional band entering a competition for “beginners,” the opinions of the audience are quite divided. Some fans approve of this move, considering it to be generally positive for rock music as a whole. On the other hand, there are those who believe that the whole idea, as well as the band’s performance itself, is rather lame and a misguided endeavor. Shortly after that, the band released a new video for the song “Eyes of the Panther.” The footage for this video was taken from the band’s recently concluded European tour.The video was directed by Josh Partridge. The band also announced the next US leg of their On The Prowl tour that starts in July.
