Santa Cruz Triumphantly Returns to Finland with Electrifying Performance at Rockfest 2023
The last time Santa Cruz played a concert in their homeland, Finland, was way back in 2019 at the legendary Tavastia club in Helsinki. On June 8, 2023, they finally returned to the Finnish ground with a performance at this year’s Rockfest, which is taking place at Hyvinkään lentokenttä in Hyvinkää, Finland, from the 8th to the 10th of June. This year’s lineup of Rockfest includes legendary bands such as Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Pantera, Michael Monroe, Crashdiet, Volbeat, The Hellacopters, Lordi, The 69 Eyes, Rancid, and many more.
Thanks to the fan-made videos created by Myrkky84, we had a chance to catch a glimpse of Archie Cruz and Co.’s performance. In the three songs that surfaced on YouTube, we can hear two older hits: “Aiming High” and “We Are The Ones To Fall,” along with the brand new track “And They Prayed On My Downfall,” which was released less than a week ago and performed live for the first time.
This concert marks the end of Archie Cruz’s feud with the Finnish music scene. After a lot of turmoil, tabloid stories, and other rock ‘n’ roll shenanigans, things are finally returning where they belong. For the real fans (and haters too) of the band, that’s certainly the most important thing!
