Mötley Crüe News – Secret Gig Recap, Charts and “Cancelled”
Love them or hate them, saying they need to retire or that the new songs suck, it doesn’t matter. It seems like Mötley Crüe is all over the news these days and is on fire. Well, that’s what big bands usually do. Here are some news items that have circulated over the past few days.
First, there is an official video recap of the latest secret gig that took place in New York City. We have already posted some high-quality videos of that show, so you can check those out too.
Dogs Of War enter the charts
Mötley Crüe made a triumphant return to the music scene last week with their first new single in years, “Dogs Of War,” which has quickly become a massive hit among fans, according to Forbes. The rock band’s latest track has surged to the third position on Billboard’s “Hot Hard Rock Songs” chart, marking their debut on this particular ranking. Despite being one of the most iconic names in the genre, this is the first time Mötley Crüe has secured a spot on this chart, surprising many who assumed they had dominated it in the past.
Cancelled?
According to a Twitter/X post by Nikki Sixx, the band’s next new song is going to be called “Cancelled”. There are also rumors that the band is going to release a cover of the Beastie Boys’ tune “Fight For Your Right (Party)”, which the band already played in those past concerts as part of the mid-show medley. This is not confirmed yet, but it is a possibility.
From a media standpoint, it’s never boring following Mötley Crüe. So, more interesting news is surely expected from their camp, especially after the interview that is going to take place with Eddie Trunk on Sirius XM.
