Phil Soussan Reveals Secrets Behind Prophets of Addiction’s New Album
Rock legend Phil Soussan, known for his work with Ozzy Osbourne, Last In Line, and Vince Neil, has taken a turn behind the producer’s console for the new Prophets of Addiction album, Face the Music, released via BraveWords Records. Soussan, who also played bass on the record, teamed up with Lesli Sanders, formerly of Queenny Blast Pop, to craft a collection of tracks that showcase the group’s gritty and sleazy glam-rock charm.
“Les is an incredible songwriter with a knack for combining pop sensibilities with a killer attitude,” Soussan says, reflecting on the creative synergy during the sessions. The recording process, which began at Danny Koker’s Desert Moon Productions in Las Vegas, involved a mix of talent and collaboration that turned the studio into a rock playground. From catchy anthems like “Let’s Get High” (which isn’t what you think!) to a stunning rendition of Rod Stewart’s “Maggie May,” the album promises something for everyone.
Soussan, pulling double duty as producer and bassist, described the project as a labor of love. “I got to be on both sides of the glass, and what came out was fantastic,” he enthused. Highlight tracks include the Hollywood love letter “Take Me to Your Leader” and the title track, dripping with swagger. If you’re a fan of bands that walk the line between grit and glam, now’s your chance to join the congregation and get hooked on Prophets of Addiction. Face the Music is out now, so turn it up loud!
