Guns N’ Roses in Yokohama Japan Report – New Song Debut?
Guns N’ Roses played the second show of their 2025 tour in K Arena Yokohama, Japan. Big expectations were among fans after Duff McKagan spilled the beans that the new song Nothing might be released. That’s why this concert in Japan was monitored with full attention.
And yes, they played some different songs and debuted a brand new one. Although it was not a GnR song, it was a Thin Lizzy cover, Thunder and Lightning, with Duff on vocals. We were right, something new was played. Along with that, You Could Be Mine, Don’t Cry, Madagascar, Hard School and Absurd got their tour debuts.
Fan Reports: According to fan reports, at the beginning of the second song, Bad Obsession, Isaac accidentally started playing Mr. Brownstone, which was then quickly aborted. Concert lasted over three hours, Axl is the monster on stage being 63.
Some fans reported that Thin Lizzy cover was a tribute to John Sykes. Duff said “Happy Bitthday Susan” at the beginning of Thunder And Lightning. Many fans expressed their satisfaction with Axl’s voice and performance. It was magical 3 hours, one fan conluded while the other said: “there was something special with Guns this time”.
All in all it was a longer set than the previous one in South Korea which was also expected.
It’s also interesting to note that Neurotic Outsiders’ song was played before the band came out to the stage. Neurotic Outsiders were Duff’s supergroup band founded in 1996 with Steve Jones, Matt Sorum and John Taylor. The song you can hear in this clip is Nasty Ho from their only release 1996 Neurotic Outsiders. Check out the videos below!
