Drummer-mania: Former Hardcore Superstar Drummer Finds New Home in Eclipse
Former Hardcore Superstar drummer Magnus “Adde” Andreasson, who left the Swedish sleaze rockers after 25 years, has now joined another big Swedish name from the hard rock genre – Eclipse. He replaced drummer Philip Crusner, who decided to step down from touring for the foreseeable future, according to a statement from Eclipse.
Magnus Andreasson left Hardcore Superstar back in February 2024. He was also absent from the band prior to that moment, “taking a break” from band duties. The statement issued by Hardcore Superstar at the time stated that Adde left the band “to pursue new challenges.”
It looks like Eclipse was the perfect new challenge for Adde, who also played his debut gig with the melodic hard rockers at Karmøygeddon festival in Norway on May 2nd.
It is also interesting that Eclipse had a substitute drummer, Robin Nilsson, for lots of shows in the past several years. He is also a drummer for two other big Swedish sleaze glam acts – The Cruel Intentions and Crazy Lixx.
It seems that Swedish rock’s drumming scene is really spinning like a real drummermania.
