Are you ready for a May sleaze metal madness?
Today is Thursday, May 7th, just one day before the start of the wildest month in recent sleaze metal history! I honestly don’t remember anything like this ever happening before. The month has four weeks, four Fridays (mostly), and when the clock strikes 00:00, one highly anticipated album will drop each time. We already got the singles. Now is the time for the real deal!
This wicked four-week spiral kicks off on May 8th with the legends Crashdïet and their new release Art Of Chaos. Just when you’ve fully soaked in every drop of filth from that chaotic album, next up is Confess with their fourth album Metalmorphosis. So May 15th is clearly reserved for a glam-and-metal metamorphosis (this time with L). After that, on May 22nd, our brother Erik Grönwall launches his debut solo album Bad Bones, which already smells like a fantastic deep retrospective infused with the best melodic hard rock vibes. And finally, on May 29th, the honor of closing out this insane month goes to The Cruel Intentions with their new release All Hail Hypocrisy. And you know, there’s no messing around with these guys, they’re not just another sleaze band. They are SLEAZE!
In the end, I have to ask, is this 2026, or did someone catapult me back to 2006? Either way, if you think this music is dead, let’s talk again in a month and sum up the impressions. Deal?
