Bruce Vayn Found His New Band In An Unexpected Place
Former Scarlet Rose guitarist and vocalist Bruce Vayn is preparing for a new chapter in his musical career. After releasing three singles under his own name, it’s now time to take things to the stage, and we finally know who’s going to be joining him.
In a recent Instagram announcement, Vayn revealed that members of New Jersey glam metal outfit Fire ‘N Ice will serve as his backing band for his first-ever solo performance as an artist at the 2027 New York City Glam Metal Fest.
That connection is rather interesting considering what has recently happened with Fire ‘N Ice. The band’s former frontman John Torra recently became the new lead singer of Quiet Riot, subsequently leaving Fire ‘N Ice to focus on his new role.
On the other hand, Fire ‘N Ice are currently looking for a new singer, and until they find one, teaming up with Los Angeles rocker Bruce Vayn seems like a natural turn of events, with both sides having something to gain!
New York City Glam Metal Fest is going to take place on June 18–19 at The Meadows in Brooklyn, and the festival will bring together several names from the glam and sleaze rock scene, including Babylon A.D., Vain, Wildstreet, Spread Eagle, Rough Cutt along with younger acts like S’ain’t Anthony, Vain Wild, Savetta and more.
For fans who remember Scarlet Rose from 2000s Los Angeles sleaze scene, this will be an opportunity to see Vayn step out under his own name. Scarlet Rose went on hiatus again in 2025, following their reunion and subsequent return to the stage in 2022.
We also caught up with Bruce to find out what fans can expect from the show. The set will feature his previously released solo material, a bunch of new songs, and, definitely, some Scarlet Rose classics. He also hinted at the possibility of throwing in a surprise cover or two…
