Crashdiet Founder Dave Lepard’s Grave Vandalized
According to the finnish metal magazine Chaoszine, the grave of Crashdiet founder Dave Lepard and 19 others were vandalized at Uppsala Gamla Kyrkogård in Uppsala, Sweden, between the night of July 22-23, 2024.
The damage included overturned gravestones, broken grave lanterns, and destroyed flower arrangements. The church has reported the incidents to the police.

Cemetery manager Peter Berglund described the scene as a result of significant anger and noted the rarity of such events, with the last similar incident occurring around ten years ago.

Crashdiet founder and vocalist Dave Lepard committed suicide at age 25 on January 20th after a bout of depression during which he hid from family and friends. “Rest in Sleaze” (2005) is the only full-length album featuring him as the original vocalist.
